Delete your PawOrPass account

In the app

1. Open PawOrPass and tap Profile at the bottom.
2. Tap Edit profile, then scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Tap Delete everything to confirm.

You're signed out and the account is gone. There's no undo, so download any photos you want to keep first.

By email

Can't open the app? Email [email protected] from the address you signed in with (for Apple or Google sign-in, the email on that account) and put "Delete my account" in the subject. We delete it within 7 days and send one short reply to confirm. We can only act on requests from the account's own email address.

What gets deleted

• Your account and sign-in.
• Your first name, birthday, why you joined and the animals you picked.
• Your pet's profile: name, username, breed, age, bio, tags, links, city and categories.
• Every photo you uploaded.
• Your paws, passes and notes, your matches and every chat in them, and the animals you follow.
• The record of what you looked at in the app, which the feed used to learn your taste.

Deletion is immediate in the live database. Copies in our provider's backups clear out on their own within about 30 days.

What stays

• Reports you filed about other people stay, without your name attached, so we can still act on them.
• Reports other people filed about you stay, for the same reason.
• Messages you sent to a match stay in that person's chat until they delete their account, the same way a text you sent stays on the other phone.
• Emails you sent to support, unless you ask us to delete those too.

Just want a break?

You don't have to delete anything to step away. Sign out from Edit profile and your profile stays as it is. Your pet still shows up in Explore, so remove the photos first if you'd rather be invisible for a while. Questions about your data are answered in the privacy policy, and the support page has everything else.
